Swissvale Community Garden is beginning its second season. The volunteer manager Leland Scales and his volunteer committee have been working hard to prepare to grow delicious food for Swissvale residents and provide opportunities for neighbors to gather.

One way we're working to prepare is by seeking funds from a variety of different sources. Right now, we have an application in with Seeds of Change. There are hundreds of community and school gardens vying for some truly transformational grants. Only the top 50 gardens, as determined by a public vote, will move forward to the final judgement phase.

Voting is super easy and you can do it once a day through April 18. Show your support for the community of Swissvale and this very worthwhile project by helping us finish out strong!
